It’s difficult to beat the views of the Brushy Mountains and Appalachia of North Carolina. Wilkes, Watauga, and Ashe County, in the midst of the Brushy Mountains, is a place where summer is still summer and hot, but it still beats the heat of the Piedmont area. 

With summer storms, the shade of the trees and mountains, and greenery and flowers in bloom, it’s a beautiful and enjoyable place to be in the summer.

It’s not uncommon to see pictures of the Blue Ridge Parkway online. From Boone, NC, there is access to the Blue Ridge Parkway with overlooks of mountains, and the temperatures are usually ten degrees cooler than what they are at the bottom of the mountain.

It’s no surprise that with the beauty and comfortable weather that this location offers, it is a top pick for summer weddings. There’s no summer wedding like a mountain summer wedding!

Mountain Wedding in the Summer
